Update: vegetable patch up and running

Hello again my dear reader,

I’m writing to update you on the state of our vegetable patch. Things are progressing well. We opened some more space and planted green bell peppers, yellow peppers and thai basil. The total list is now:

  • dill
  • coriander
  • mint
  • marjoram
  • jalapeƱo peppers
  • tomatoes (about 12 plants in total)
  • cucumbers
  • musk melon
  • watermelon
  • beans
  • peas

Below is a photo from this morning.

Vegetable Patch as of May 2nd 2011As you can see, we built a lattice of sticks and wire for the beans to hold onto. We don’t really know if it’s going to work but it seemed worth the effort. We will have to wait and see. Annoyingly, the weather has turned colder again. I hope it doesn’t kill the plants. More updates soon.
