Bees swarm into Bermuda as the weather improves

Hello again my dear reader,

I don’t know if it’s the improvement in the weather alone or there is another underlying cause but it looks like bees have decided to spend time in Bermuda. And not just in the countryside but in the middle of town. Two large hives have been found and removed in the last few days, one on Front Street and one on Bermudiana Road right in the centre of Hamilton. The Royal Gazette also reported the incidents.

People are getting ready for the arrival of all sorts of pesky bugs and other critters. We haven’t seen any big cockroaches yet but it seems like it’s only a matter of time. With the dog in the house, it makes using strong bug killers very difficult so I think we’re in for a tough summer. Let’s wait and see!
